American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula
meets the crises which strike individuals and communities through emergency services and training in CPR, first aid and swimming. Financial, logistic, and support assistance is available to active military personnel and their families.
Community Mediation Services Upper Shore
presents mediation services which provide no-cost alternatives to court proceedings. It trains persons to serve as mediators and conducts conflict resolution programs for adults and youth.
Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence
assists with issues of domestic violence through crisis intervention. The organization provides counseling and advocacy as well as legal assistance in divorce and custody cases in both English and Spanish.
The Salvation Army
provides emergency services, food, shelter, and funds to individuals and communities in times of crisis. Its work is year round, in addition to the annual holiday toys and gifts.
Shared Opportunity Service, Inc.
known for its Kent Family Center,programs assist teen Mothers and disadvantaged families with parenting classes, daily child development care for the very young, and after – school care for school aged youth.
